  I have always purchased plants from El Arish Tropicals. I have found the level of service provided by Scott and Ann to be most friendly and highly professional. The plants I have purchased have had established root systems and soon after repotting or transplanting them they have settled in happily in my garden.
  
  As a hobby collector, I can attest to the fact that most of the plants they offer are hard to find plants, and the pricing is very reasonable considering their rarity. Most mail order outlets dispatch plants that do not reflect the pictures they've posted online.
  
  Satisfied customer will be returning again, and again ...

  I was (I admit naively) enquiring to El Arish Tropical Exotics about whether I could work for money on their Farm. I figured there might be a community spirit. I found their details through the WWOOF website.
  I was struck down with sheer violence and extensively abused about how I was harrassing hosts etc. In the last message they called me a fool. It was an unprovoked verbal attack from what I consider to be a bitter, rude, deeply unhappy person.
  I admit I was going out on a limb pursuing a lead through a volunteer based website, but the abusive attitude simply didn't feel warranted. I have since closed my WWOOF account and am trying to find work on an organic farm somewhere else.
  If I happen to see these people at a farmer's market I will be taking the matter up with them in person. Very unwelcoming and inhospitable.

  I've bought plants from El Arish a few times now & I've never been unhappy with them. They are always nice big generously sized healthy looking specimens. I came on today to review & say thanks for huge Justicia aurea plant I received today & the Spider lily bulbs are big too. My Panama Queen I bought from you last time has absolutely taken off. I love that you have the sections for the plants that will grow in Sydney & Melbourne too.

  Spent nearly $60 and was sent root bound plants (worst one as per image - they said this was "a little root bound"). Was promised a part refund. Never received the refund, and they are not responding to any emails anymore. Terrible customer service. Maybe this review will prompt them to keep their word in future and live up to their quality guarantee. Any self respecting nursery would offer to send replacements.
